You might be able to do something using the appropriate FLOOR commands.  
I haven't used FLOORs in a date/time capacity so maybe someone with more 
experience can help with the specifics, but it appears from the docs that 
you could limit the specified reports to say only failures within the 
last 7 days (FAILFLOOR 100s) or some other limit.
